Most people know that visiting your doctor regularly is important to maintaining good health. And, certain test and immunizations can help prevent certain illnesses and even death. But do you know exactly what types of checkups do you need — and how often you need them? How much will you need to pay for each one? And, what can you expect during the tests?

How to Use This Tool

Your doctor or other healthcare provider should play a key role in determining the screenings, immunizations and other preventive services that you (and your family members) need based on your current health, health history and existing health risks.

To help you start the conversation with your doctor:

  • Complete the information below and click “Show Preventive Care”;
  • Print out the customized list of screenings (recommended based on your age and gender); and
  • Take it with you to your next visit.

On the next screen you can also link to resources that confirm your coverage for the screening and that provide more information on what to expect during the screening.
