Paying for Your Benefits Is Now Easier

Alcatel-Lucent is pleased to offer three new convenient ways to pay for your health and welfare benefits. Now you can avoid missed payments, write fewer checks and save postage by paying for your benefits using one of the following new payment options.

Direct Debit

Direct Debit payments are automatically withdrawn from the checking or savings account you designate. Once Direct Debit is set up, you will no longer receive a monthly billing notice. Your payment will be automatically withdrawn on the 10th of each month and you can confirm that your payment was made by checking your account on the Your Benefits Resources (YBR) Web site the next business day. Your monthly bank statement will also show the date and the amount of the withdrawal from your account.

The amount withdrawn from your account will be the same as your current monthly cost unless you experience a change in coverage due to a qualified status change. When you experience a change in your coverage, the cost of coverage may change and the amount withdrawn from your account may be more or less than your previous monthly cost. If this happens, you will be notified of the change in amount at least 10 days before the withdrawal is made.

To sign up for the monthly automatic Direct Debit payment option, go to the YBR Web site. You may also call the Alcatel-Lucent Benefits Center at 1-888-232-4111 to request a Direct Debit authorization form. When you receive the form in the mail, complete it and mail it back to the Alcatel-Lucent Benefits Center using the envelope provided.

Pay Now Direct Debit

Before your due date, pay your bill from your bank account when it is convenient for you on the YBR Web site. This is not an ongoing payment option, and you will continue to receive bills by mail. See your monthly billing notice for more information.

When using this payment option, payments that are initiated by 6:00 p.m., ET, are processed the next business day. Payments initiated after 6:00 p.m., ET, are processed within two business days.

Online Bill Payment Service

You may use an online bill payment service through your bank to pay your bill each month. Make sure you use the nine-digit account number, company name and post office box number from your bill when setting up the payments with your online bill payment service.
