Commuter Benefits
All employees have access to a commuter benefits program which allows the use of pre-tax earnings to pay for public transit — including train, subway, bus, ferry and eligible vanpools — and qualified parking as part of your daily commute to work.
How Much You Can Contribute
In 2026, you can contribute up to a maximum of $340 per month for public transit expenses and $340 per month for qualified parking expenses, for a total of $680 per month on a pre-tax basis. Any additional contributions (up to a total maximum of $800 per month each for transit and parking) will be deducted on a post-tax basis.
How It Works
You decide how much you want to contribute up to the allowed monthly limit. Both pre-and post-tax funds are withdrawn from your paycheck for any commuter orders placed. You can place a one-time order, or set up the same order to recur each month automatically, and can make changes to your commuter order at any time. You manage your account via a secure website on any computer or mobile device that’s connected to the Internet via single sign-on from the Your Benefits Resources (YBR) website.
Program Features
- You make your elections online directly by visiting the YBR website selecting the ‘Reimbursement Accounts’ tab and clicking on ‘Commuter Account’ to gain access to the ordering site.
- You will be able to choose from several transit pass and parking options including a reloadable prepaid Commuter Master Card, physical passes and tickets.
- Transit passes and parking cards will be delivered directly to your home address.
- Changes can be made at any time. As long as changes are submitted by the 10th of the month, they will be effective on the first of the following month.
Note: If ordering products from Long Island Railroad (LIRR) or Metro North Railroad (MNR), they require a longer fulfillment time and should be finalized by the 4th of the prior month.
- You can make one-time orders or set your order as recurring monthly.
How to Enroll
- Visit the YBR website or call the Nokia Benefits Resource Center at 1-888-232-4111 (TTY 711).
- Select the ‘Reimbursement Accounts’ tab and click on ‘Commuter Account’ to single sign-on over to the Edenred Commuter ordering site.
- From the Commuter Account Dashboard, click on ‘Order Now’.
- Select ‘Fund my Prepaid Card’ if you would like to order the reloadable Commuter MasterCard or select ‘Passes, Tickets, and Parking’ if you would like to order products specific to your transit authority and/or parking vendor.
- Step through the process to place your order.
- An order confirmation email from no_reply@edenredbenefits.com will be sent after the order is placed.
